Mary J Blige is confident that a woman will be the next person sitting in the Oval Office.
The Family Affair singer was speaking to Magic FM and added that it would be 'a very sad day in America' if the Democratic candidate didn't win the election.
Hillary Clinton is facing off against Republican candidate Donald Trump in one of the most divisive elections in history. Voters in the US have been taking to the polls all day ahead of the results tonight.
Mary J Blige, who has been a keen supporter of Hillary Clinton since the start of her campaign, said the current election 'looks like a circus' to the rest of the world.
'Seriously? This is what we've allowed to be in the nominations', the Grammy award winning artist lamented about Donald Trump.
'We will have our first female president, which is something to celebrate', she added confidently.
Mary will be in the middle of her tour with singer Maxwell on results day, but assured listeners that she would be celebrating if Hillary wins.
'I'll make sure that everybody in the building knows!'
