Wake Up With Webster vs The Home Run
Our very own Wimbledon doubles challenge.

With more of the focus being put on the doubles games at Wimbledon this year (Andy Murray, Jamie Murray, Serena Williams, and of course Arbroath's very own Jonny O'Mara) we decided to create our very own "Doubles Challenge"
Webster and Claire from "Wake Up With Webster" take on Gregor and Hollie from "The Home Run" (and Steven covering for Gregor in the latter challenges!)
Challenge 1:
First up came the "Serving" challenge. The teams had to serve strawberries to each other using very sturdy* badminton bats... Ladies and Gentlemen please take your seats in DD3...
*They started sturdy... honestly.
So after a gallant effort from both teams, Wake Up With Webster takes the lead 15 -0.
Challenge 2:
"Backspin To Win". This challenge was a little more complex, so we brought in adjudicators to read the rules, and ensure fairness.
The jist: A simple quiz, where you must give the answer to the previous question:
At the end of challenge 2 - Wake Up With Webster 30, Home Run 0.
Challenge 3:
"New Calls Please". A member has been selected from each team and given the task of making a booking to a restaurant within Tayside and Fife. They must include as many tennis references as they can, repeats do not count, and if you initiate tennis chat, i.e. refer to Wimbledon - game over.
Webster played for Wake Up With Webster, and Steven played for The Home Run.
After challenge 3, Wake Up With Webster 40, Home Run 0.
Challenge 4:
"A Load Of Balls". Could it be Game, Set and Match for Wake Up With Webster?
The aim of the game was to get as many balls in the bucket in the space of 60 seconds. (A minute is a lot longer than you think...!) If the balls bounced out, they DID NOT count.
Oooooh, the come back is on! Wake Up With Webster - 40, The Home Run 15!
Challenge 5:
"Deuce" really put leg strength to test, and unfortunately for the Wake Up With Webster team, Webster has no thigh strength!
The Home Run comeback is well and truly on...

Challenge 6:
"Lock Jaw-Kovic" involved Claire and Hollie talking with their mouths full of orange... Can their challenge partner identify the words though?
