E.T. is back for an advert reuniting with Elliott after 37 years
It's emotional! 😭
Many, many years ago in 1982, the world fell in love with E.T., an Extra-Terrestrial who found himself on Earth and befriended a young boy called Elliott, and his siblings.
And, despite nearly four decades passing since its original release, the film has become iconic, appealing to many generations, with memorable quotes such as, 'E.T. phone home'. Now, 37 years later the pair have been lovingly reunited in a Christmas Advert for Sky.
The advert starts with Elliott's kids having a snowball fight in the front garden when the lights begin to flicker. The kids go out to see what's going on in the back garden they come across E.T. hiding behind their snowman!

Unsurprisingly the kids are a little scared by this strange creature in their back garden and as the kids scream at the new arrival, Elliott comes running over to E.T. saying, "You came back!"
The advert goes on to show the kids showing E.T. how technology has advanced in the decades that have passed, with the Internet, voice activated controls and of course (as it's an advert), Sky TV.
This advert seems to have touched some heartstrings with fans of all ages, with hundreds of comments being left, on YouTube, including one which said, 'Why would you guys toy with my emotions?!!!!!!!😭😭😭😭😭♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️', and another saying, 'Two buds back together for the holidays. Folks...this is magic.'
