The top 10 best selling albums of 2012 (so far) have been revealed.

Emeli Sandé is currently leading the way having sold 928,000 copies of her debut ‘Our Version of Events’ – the Scottish songstress’s tally is expected to surpass 1million before the year’s out.

Despite being released early last year, Adele’s ‘21’ is in second spot while Lana Del Rey’s ‘Born To Die’ is in third.

Ed Sheeran is the biggest selling male at four with ‘+’ while Coldplay’s ‘Mylo Xyloto’ is narrowly ahead of Mumford & Sons’ ‘Babel’ at five.

With millions of people still looking to buy stocking fillers, the top 10 is likely to change before the end of December.

The Official Charts Company's Dan Lane said: "With the busiest shopping weeks of the year upon us, there is still everything to play for for the rest of the contenders.

“It’s still possible for late comers such as Olly Murs’ 'Right Place, Right Time', Girls Aloud’s 'Ten', Jay-Z and Kanye West’s 'The Throne 2', Tulisa’s 'The Female Boss' and Bruno Mars’ 'Unorthodox Jukebox' to make a huge impact on the year end charts."
