Thieves cause hundreds of pounds worth of damage in Arbroath housebreaking

Police are investigating after a break in at a storage area on the South Pier.

Police are investigating a housebreaking in Arbroath, after a storage area on South Pier was forced open and pots of paint and fishing knives were stolen.

It's thought to have happened between 12:30pm Saturday 14th – 4:30am Sunday 15th August.

One of the storage shed’s doors was forced open causing hundreds of pounds’ worth of damage, and some pots of paint and small fishing knives were stolen from within.

In a statement police said: "If you have any information that could assist our enquiries, please call 101 or speak with any police officer."
