A woman has been assaulted in Dundee City Centre after she was repeatedly punched in the face by a man.

A witness saw the attack near the Old Mill Complex on Brown Street at around 6:50pm on Sunday 28th July.

It’s believed it happened during an argument – both the woman and the suspect left in the direction of West Marketgait after the assault.

A police spokesperson said: “We have not yet been contacted by the victim, and would like to trace her to ensure her wellbeing, and to deal with the assault she was subjected to.”

She’s described as in her 30s, with brown hair and was wearing a pale or light gold coloured dress.

Meanwhile the man who attacked her is white, aged 30 to 35, and was wearing a white shirt with grey trousers.

It’s thought the pair may have been at a function earlier in the day – anyone with information should contact police on 101.
