Hundreds descended on Victoria Park in Arbroath on Saturday to pay their respects on what would've been three days before Steven's 29th birthday.

Hundreds of motorcyclists have taken part in a ride-out in memory of murdered Arbroath man Steven Donaldson.

Riders from all over Scotland flocked to the Angus town to pay their respects to the 27-year-old who was killed in Kirriemuir last summer.

The event was organised by biker Billy Connell, who despite not knowing Steven felt compelled to set up the run.

"It was the severity of what happened to Steven, the bad things that happened," he said.

"When they got out to that place (where his body was found) now, where they've put a tree for Steven and a plaque, they'll remember the hundreds of bikers that came in Steven's name.

"We just want to try and dust the bad memories with a little bit of good.

"I reckon over a thousand people turned out at the start-line. I knew it was going to be a big turn out but this just shows you how much people care."
