Emergency services scour sky and sea in search for missing Arbroath man

A Police helicopter is patrolling the town while lifeboat teams are assisting the coastguard in a bid to find Bailey Mearns

Emergency services are scouring the sky and sea as the search for missing Arbroath man Bailey Mearns continues.

The 21-year-old - who also uses the surname Menmuir, was last seen on Strathairlie Avenue around 7am on Monday morning.

A police helicopter is patrolling the town while RNLI Arbroath Lifeboat Station confirmed it's assisting the coastguard.

He is described as being 5ft 11 with slim build, short black hair and a beard. When last seen, he was wearing a light grey Nike hooded jumper, a pink t-shirt, black jogging bottoms and white Alexander McQueen trainers.
