Man riding electric scooter taken to hospital after being hit by car in Dundee

Emergency services were called to the crash between an e-scooter and a car on Wednesday afternoon.

A 30 year-old man riding an electric scooter has been taken to Ninewells hospital after being hit by a car on a Dundee road.

The crash happened in the afternoon on Wednesday 14th April 2021 in Happyhillock road.

A Police spokesperson said: "Around 3 pm on Wednesday, 14 April, 2021 police attended a road crash in Happyhillock Road, Dundee involving a car and electric scooter.

“The 30-year-old rider of the electric scooter was taken by ambulance to Ninewells Hospital with leg injuries.

“The driver of the car was uninjured.

“A 30- year-old man was arrested and will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal in connection with alleged road traffic offence."

They're currently only allowed to be used on private land.
