Police in Angus will revisit where a missing man was last seen in the hope of jogging people’s memories.

Anthony Kelbie had been in the Nursery Park area of Brechin on Saturday, 19 August, between 8 and 10pm, but he has not been seen since.

Officers will be in the area today to speak to members of the public.

Inspector Alice Coventry said: "Officers will be in the Nursery Park area of Brechin between 7pm and 10pm tomorrow and I would urge anyone who saw Anthony before he went missing or might have seen him last Saturday to speak to us.

“You may have information which could assist our enquiry.

“Officers are continuing to carry out searches and would also ask that residents in Brechin check any sheds or outbuildings they have for signs that someone might have been there. Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101."

48-year-old Anthony, who lives in the Maryfield area of Dundee, was reported missing on Sunday, August 20.

When last seen, he was wearing a blue Superdry jacket, blue jeans and white shoes. He has noticeable cuts to the side of his head and a lump and cut on his forehead.

Inspector Alice Coventry added: "It is out of character for Anthony not to be in touch with family or friends and as time goes by we are becoming increasingly concerned for his wellbeing.

"We know that Anthony was in the Nursery Park area of Brechin on Saturday evening and we are urging anyone who thinks they saw a man matching his description to get in touch with us.

"He may also have travelled to Dundee or possibly to Aberdeenshire and we are asking anyone who has information that could assist to contact us.
