Pitcrocknie Restaurant & Coffee House is set to close on the 15th of May due to rising costs.

The Blairgowrie business opened in 2016 and enjoyed success but have struggled since the start of the Covid pandemic like many business due to a reduction in footfall.

In a Facebook post they stated: " With prices doubling and tripling, VAT increasing, etc. requiring us to raise our prices just to cover the amount that we give to the government. "

They added: "With all this going on everyone has had to tighten their belts, unfortunately this has led to a reduction in footfall to the restaurant with all the signs pointing to the situation getting worse, we now find ourselves between a rock and a hard place, we can't put prices up by the amount that we would need to and we can't survive if we don't so it is with sadness that we have made the tough decision to close the doors."

The restaurant are urging customers to stick with them while they run down their remaining stock and say they will reduce their menu as they get closer to closing.
