Two inmates at Perth Prison die over weekend
It's been confirmed two inmates from Perth prison died over the weekend.
Darrell Kerr Smith had been in hospital for a fortnight after being found collapsed and unresponsive in his cell at the jail last month.
The 39-year-old passed away on Saturday.
An untried prisoner, George Cameron, was found in his cell on Friday and the 37-year-old died last night.
A spokesman for the Scottish Prison Service said next of kin have been informed and reports submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
They say fatal accident inquiries may be held into the deaths.
