Woman's body found in Dundee "not suspicious", say police

Police say circumstances surrounding a woman's body found in Dundee last night are not being treated as suspicious.

Police say circumstances surrounding a woman's body found in Dundee last night are not being treated as suspicious.

The discovery was made in the Nethergate area of the city shortly before 11PM on Thursday 2 June.

Detective Inspector Paul Riley said,

“Officers attended in the Nethergate, Dundee at around 10.55pm last night following a report of the sudden death of a 34-year-old woman. Her next of kin have been informed.

"Officers will be carrying out further enquiries, however there are no apparent suspicious circumstances and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
