Cleveland Police have removed tenants from a property in Redcar after reports of anti-social behaviour.

Officers from the Redcar Neighbourhood Police Team executed a closure order at the property on France Street on Friday.

They worked together with the council, landlords and local residents before issuing the order order.

Police are thanking residents for assisting them to help improve the community.

Police Community Support Officer, Ali Coaker, said: “This is great example of a partnership approach to improving our communities and the closure order was conducted as part of Operation Phoenix.

“Along with the council, we have been out speaking with local residents and they are relieved that the tenants have been removed from the area.

“Local residents have played a huge part in assisting us with this closure order and I would like to thank them for their assistance and support.
