Ed Sheeran celebrated The BRIT Awards in a very different way this year

Ed Sheeran is known to enjoy a bit of a party and in previous years he has been seen looking a bit worse for wear after a night's partying. However, this year the loved-up Ed Sheeran celebrated the night in a very different way.
Back in 2015 he had to be helped by his security guard, but this year Ed left an after party early and went for a meal with his new fiancée Cherry Seaborn. According to heatworld the pair went for a celebratory curry in the upmarket district of London, Mayfair.
Ed announced his surprise engagement to long-term girlfriend Cherry Seaborn last month with a cute photo of the couple hugging and kissing.
We caught up with Ed before the BRIT Awards to ask him about the announcement. He revealed he felt he had to, as he had heard that it was going to be published in the press, so he wanted to control the announcement.
Last night (21st February) Ed took home the Global Success Award, after what has been a phenomenal year for the pop star. His third album sold over two million copies in the UK and over one million copies in the US by end of last year. It also reached the top spot in over 20 countries.
As well as winning one award Ed took to the stage to perform his song 'Supermarket Flowers' which features on his third studio album '÷'.

Before the show we asked him how he was feeling about his BRITs performance. He said that he was feeling quite relaxed about the show and joked that he has one job! He went on to explain that last year there was a lot going on, on the stage, however this time it's just a piano, a bass and some backing singers.
We also asked Ed about a number of different rumours that have been circulating, namely the one that he is already married, whether or not he will be at the Royal wedding and if he is going to give up pop music.

When we asked him about the ring on his finger he was hesitant to reply, however he has since said he isn't married. Speaking on Good Morning Britain Ed denied the rumours the couple had married in secret.
“I’m not married,” he explained.
“I’m just wearing an engagement ring as well, because I feel like you both should.”
