Game of Thrones leads Emmy Nominations

Cat Deeley and Uzo Aduba announced the nominations for the 67th Primetime Emmy Awards today.

Cat Deeley and Uzo Aduba (Orange is the New Black) announced the nominations for the 67th Primetime Emmy Awards today and unsurprisingly the hit TV series Game of Thrones is leading the way with 24 nominations!

Also in the running are American Horror Story: Freak Show with 19 nominations and mini-series Olive Kitteridge shown on Sky Atlantic in the UK with 13.

Netflix series House of Cards and cable series Mad Men are both up for 11 awards while the British TV series, Downton Abbey and Wolf Hall are both up for eight awards.

British actors are also well represented in the nominations with Ricky Gervais being nominated for his role of Derek and David Oyelowo (Spooks) for his role of Peter Snowden in the HBO film Nightingale.
