Game of Thrones season 7 delayed for very fitting reason

It means we have to wait even longer!

It’s bad news for Game of Thrones fans as we’ll now have to wait even longer for season seven.

We had all been looking forward to next April, when the show was meant to come back to our screens and pick up from a dramatic and shocking season six finale.

However the showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weis have now revealed that we’ll have to wait until later in 2017 and the reason is very fitting.

In season six we finally heard the words ‘Winter is here’ and that’s the very problem the show’s creators are having.

Unfortunately it’s too sunny to film at the moment, so they’re waiting for the seasons to change in a bid to get ‘grim, grey weather’.

It’s another blow to fans who recently learnt that there could be just two more seasons left to the show, with the next season having just seven episodes instead of the usual ten. David explained that this is because each year the seasons take longer and longer to film.

Parts of the show are filmed in Northern Ireland, Croatia, Iceland and Spain, so we can understand why a hot summer’s day might not quite fit the foreboding Game of Thrones scenes.
