All the training for Strictly Come Dancing is taking its toll on Gemma Atkinson who has now had to see a physiotherapist just a week and half into training for Strictly Come Dancing.

Gemma revealed on our sister station Key 103's Breakfast Show how she's been struggling to wear heels for so long and now one of her ankles is suffering.

The former actress has been training for eight hours every day for over a week and yesterday she had to get some professional advice on an injury.

She told her co-hosts, "training was a lot better yesterday,"

She continued, "I had physio in the morning," going on to explain that the day before she had felt a bit of pain in her ankle but decided to keep going. It was only when she got home that she realised her foot looked "like a trotter". Poor Gemma!

A sprained ankle isn't the only problem that Gemma has been experiencing since she started her strict training regime. Since doing so much activity her appetite has grown and she now finds herself eating so much more than she would normally. Earlier this week she admitted she has swapped her 'go to' superfood salad at Nando's for a chicken wrap with two sides.

She's also found all the dancing has left her feet a bit worse for wear, leaving them covered with bruises last week.

Recently, celebrity chef and fellow Strictly Come Dancing contestant Simon Rimmer, joined Gemma to talk about the how the nerves were getting to him ahead of the live show on Saturday.

Simon, who is more at home in the kitchen than on the dance floor, told Gemma that he wasn't bothered about the show being live, it was what he was doing that he was worried about. However Simon's dance partner Karen Clifton said she was "pleasantly surprised" with his ability, so we'll just have to see how he does on Saturday when he performs a Paso Doble to Blur's 'Song 2'.

While Simon is busy practising his dance, Gemma and her dance partner Aljaz have been practising their Cha Cha to Shawn Mendes' 'There's Nothing Holdin' Me Back'.

Both Gemma and Simon will perform live for the first time on Saturday's show.
