Idris Elba said the film crew are 'conscious' that his new film Bastille Day could cause controversy after the recent terrorist attacks in Brussels and Paris.

The film follows the actor and Game Of Thrones' Richard Madden embark on an anti-terrorist mission in France.

The film had originally been due for release in the UK in February, though it was pushed back to March 16th following the November terrorist attacks in Paris.

Defending the decision to release the action movie, Idris said "The film was made two years ago and one can't predict the future but ultimately we're all sensitive to a situation like that and how the film is depicted."

Speaking to our Ents team, the pair also revealed they performed all their own stunts and how good Richard is at pickpocketing.
