Just days ahead of the first dances on this year's Strictly Come Dancing, professional dancer and Strictly legend Brendan Cole has revealed his wife Zoe Cole is expecting a baby.

Brendan, who has been on the show since 2005, announced his happy news on Instagram. Sharing a video of Zoe holding her bump, Brendan wrote, 'Hey all...@thezoecole and I have news...'

Fans of the show were quick to congratulate Brendan and Zoe. One user wrote, 'Congratulations to you both! 🎉', with another adding, 'Congratulations fantastic news'. A third then wrote, 'Wonderful news! 👏👏👏😊'.

This will be the couple's second child together, they already have a four-year-old daughter called Aurelia, whom they welcomed after tying the knot in 2010.

See which other celebrities have welcomed babies in 2017:

Earlier in the month Brendan was paired with Good Morning Britain presenter Charlotte Hawkins for this year's series.

Both Charlotte and Brendan looked delighted when Tess Daley announced the news, and it seems the pair are getting along very nicely.

Earlier this week Charlotte said, "I can't stop laughing. You have to look deep into your partner's eyes. It's the weirdest thing because who does that with a stranger in everyday life.

"My default is to start giggling. It's like being at the school dance and being mortified when you come face to face with a boy. I hope I can get over that."

Meanwhile Key 103 Breakfast Presenter Gemma Atkinson is also gearing up for her first dance on the show and even spilled to fans the style of dance and song she will be performing to.

Sharing a hilarious video to her Instagram page with her professional dance partner Aljaž. Gemma wrote, 'It's the cha cha!!! To Shawn Mendes 🏽💃🏼 so excited @aljazskorjanec Wish us luck! 😬'

Aljaž also opened up to Gemma's co-hosts Matt and Mike about the chemistry the pair have. When asked if he could tell from "day one" whether or not they had chemistry, Aljaž said the chemistry is always important, but he also loves teaching someone who has never done ballroom or Latin before.
