Just to be really clear, this article contains spoilers for Avengers: Infinity War - stop reading if you haven't yet seen it!

Now that that's out of the way, we can finally get into it. We're guessing that if you're still reading, you've either seen the film OR you're ok with spoiling it for yourself.

At the end of Avengers: Infinity War, fans were left utterly bereft as pretty much all of the Avengers were wiped out after Thanos collected all the Infinity Stones and wiped out half the population of the universe.

Among those that turned to dust were the Guardians of the Galaxy - one of whom is Drax the Destroyer, the super-human character who wanted revenge on Thanos for killing his family played by Dave Bautista.

Of course, Marvel and Disney were incredibly careful not to let any details about the film be revealed before its release, and are continuing to stay very tight-lipped in the run-up to the other films - there's no hint of whether all those characters will stay dead, or whether they'll be resurrected for the future films.

(We're pretty sure they'll find a way... But let's not ruin it.)

However, it appears that Bautista, who first appeared as Drax in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 1 in 2014, isn't as bothered as keeping everything schtum as his film bosses at the top.

Speaking to Collider, the 49-year-old said, "I got a lot of texts saying, 'I can’t believe you’re dead, your character is dead!'

"They were really like heartbroken and I was like, 'I’m gonna be in Avengers 4. I’m gonna be in Guardians 3.'"

Oh. Well that's that then!

He added, "I don’t know how they’re bringing me back, yeah but somehow I’m going to make it because, as far as I know, I am going to be in Guardians 3, so I have to be back."

Way to RUIN it, Dave.

Avengers: Infinity War is out in cinemas now.
