Kit Harington reveals how he wants to change his look after Game of Thrones finishes

Actor Kit Harington has made his name in one of the most popular TV shows around, Game of Thrones. He is known for his long hair and beard, however that could be all set to change, as Game of Thrones is nearing its end, after starting back in 2011.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Kit revealed how he wants to move away from his infamous role, King in the North, after the series's final season.

“I’d like to step away and enjoy the obscurity, cut my hair, make myself less recognisable as the character, and go do and some other things with a completely new look and tone,” Kit revealed, as an actor, he is sometimes confused for the character.

He went on to explain how he would have his hair cut, “Short-short. The beard will be harder to get rid of — I quite like the beard. I like having the long hair and beard both, but it will be like a ritualistic thing. I can’t go into my next role looking the same. This role was brilliant, but I’ll need to get rid of Jon Snow,” Kit explained.

So, by the sounds of it Kit Harington might be unrecognisable by the time the final season of Game of Thrones is shown on TV.

In other news Kit and his former co-star, and real-life fiancée Rose Leslie are due to tie the knot in just a few days. Last month the date of their wedding was revealed when a wedding notice was posted outside the registration office in Huntly, close to where Rose is originally from. The noticed confirmed the date the couple would be getting married - 23rd June.

The notice included the actors' full names saying Christopher Catesby Harington is to marry Rose Eleanor Arbuthnot Leslie on the 23rd June.

Kit and Rose, who played love interests Jon Snow and Ygritte in Game of Thrones, first got together in 2012, but it wasn't until 2016 that they appeared in public for the first time. Last year they announced their engagement in a very traditional way, by taking out an advert in a national newspaper.

Since starring in Game of Thrones, Kit, who plays Jon Snow, has now become one of the show's biggest stars appearing in all seven series.

Meanwhile Rose played his love interest Ygritte and left the series in 2015. She now stars in the US TV series The Good Fight.
