Mrs Brown's Boys returns with first series in 10 years tonight
The new series begins on Friday 8th September
Controversial comedy series Mrs Brown's Boys is making a comeback, with a brand new mini-series landing on Friday 8th September, following a 10-year break.
The show, which features Brendan O'Carroll playing the role of foul-mouthed matriarch Agnes Brown, will return for four brand new episodes, kicking off on Friday 8th September at 9.30pm on BBC One.

Irish actor and comedian Brendan hinted at a new series earlier this year, revealing to fans the show had been 'thwarted twice'.
He said at the time: "This mini-series was actually planned for 2021. Having been thwarted twice, firstly by Covid-19 and then by a post-Covid shortage of studios, it's fantastic to, at last, have the chance to make it happen.
"Fasten your seatbelts and hold on to your hats!"
The BBC's Director of Comedy, Jon Petrie, said of the new series: "BBC Comedy are pleased to announce that after a decade since the last full series of Mrs Brown's Boys, millions of viewers around the UK will be thrilled to hear that Brendan is bringing Agnes and the family back together for a brand-new mini-series of his award-winning show."
Josh Cole, Head of Comedy at BBC Studios added: "'There's no one quite like Mrs Brown.
"An absolute force of outrageous wit and slapstick that has audiences hooked and belly laughing. It's great to be back."

Mrs Brown's Boys has so far had three full series, airing in 2011, 2012 and 2013, as well as a number of Christmas specials over the last decade.
As well as Brendan O'Carroll, other members of the cast are made up of his family friends, including his wife Jennifer Gibney, and his children Fiona and Danny.
The new series will return on Friday 8th September on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
