Alcohol-free party in Ayrshire to promote safe driving
The Ayrshire Roads Alliance Road Safety Team are hosting an alcohol free party in the Kyle Centre.
This afternoon, the Ayrshire Roads Alliance Roads Safety Team are hosting an event in Ayr's Kyle Centre to promote safe drinking.
They're concerned more people will be tempted to get behind the wheel after a few drinks in the summer weather - particularly at BBQs and house parties.
The party at "Our Place" will be in the centre's community shop and will take place from 11am until 2pm.
Guests will be able to sample alcohol-free cocktails and take the recipes home. It's hoped these will encourage hosts to provide their driving guests with a wider choice of soft drinks.
There will also be games and activities to take part in. The organisers are hoping the light hearted event will make people pay attention to the dangers of drink driving.
