Police investigating a crash in Saltcoats are releasing CCTV images of a man they want to speak to in connection.

A 62 year-old cyclist was left seriously injured after colliding with a car in the Braes Road area around 1.10pm on Thursday 29th April 2021.

Officers believe the man in the images, who was in the area at the time, can help with their enquiries.

He is described as white, medium build, and around 25 to 35 years-old. He was wearing a light coloured top, shorts and a dark cap and drove a small black or dark-coloured hatchback.

Sergeant Ian Thornton, from the road policing unit in Irvine, said: “As part of our ongoing investigation we are eager to identify the man driving the dark coloured hatchback as he may have information that can assist us.

“Anyone with information, or the man himself if he sees this appeal, is asked to contact us on 101, quoting incident 1464 of Thursday, 29 April, 2021.”
