Rangers defender Connor Goldson says he hasn't agreed to a contract extension yet - but admits talks are ongoing.

The 28-year old has entered the final year of his contract with the Ibrox side keen to sign him up on new terms.

Goldson played every minute of every game for the club last season as they were crowned Premiership champions for the first time in a decade.

The Englishman says he is in a great place at the moment - but doesn't want to get bogged down by contract talks.

Goldson said: "My representatives are in talks with the club and we all have a good relationship.

"I've spoken to the manager and Ross Wilson on many occasions and things are moving.

"I'm happy here. I'm in a good place.

"I feel like I'm probably in the prime of my career. I've loved every minute that I've been at the football club and the talks are ongoing.

"Hopefully that can get sorted. I haven't really spoken to my agent because I said to him four or five weeks ago that the season is starting so I need to concentrate on that.

"I can't have that in my mind because I know it will distract me.

"We have nine games this month. It's a massive month for this football club.

"I know mentally it will affect me so I don't want to know about it.

"I know there are discussions going on and the club have made it clear they want me to stay here which I'm happy with.

"When it gets done I'm sure we'll all know about it".
