Help Woodlands Primary School in Irvine win an eco-playground

An Irvine Primary School is urging the public to vote for them in a competition to win a new eco-playground.

Woodlands are currently second on the leaderboard behind a school in England and they only have until the 3rd of July to secure first place.

The national Terracycle competition is for a new playground made entirely of recyclable materials.

Teacher Mrs Hewitson, who has organised the school’s entry into the competition, is appealing to the community to help.

She said: “We are trying to do a lot to raise these votes.

“It would mean everything to the kids to win.''
