If you are planning a jaunt down to the seaside for a fish supper, you have got more to worry about than just your friends stealing chips.

That is according to locals in Largs who are warning beach goers not to feed the seagulls because they are aggressive and attacking people.

They are so fed up with it they've decided to put up posters asking you not to indulge the protected birds.

Primary pupils from the town's three local schools have designed the signs that'll go up around the tourist hot spots in time for summer.

School teacher Jessica Wilson started the campaign and spoke to our reporter Natalie Crawford...

It is not a new problem though, last summer we told you about a Facebook post from Sugar and Spice owner Toni Dawson - it went viral after a tot was hurt outside her shop.
