I hope the fact that Black is now behind bars goes some in helping her feel safe. I would also like to thank the people and businesses of Saltcoats who supported officers in the investigation and did all they could to ensure the man responsible for this heinous crime was arrested and held to account.

“Police Scotland is committed to supporting victims of sexual crimes and investigating those responsible and bringing them to justice. I would encourage all victims to come forward and report the crime. They can be assured of being fully supported by officers and partner agencies.
