Ayr United captain Nicky Devlin is leaving the club at the end of his contract this summer.

The 23 year-old has decided not to sign a new contract, and will be looking for a new club following Ayr's relegation to League One.

Manager Ian McCall has thanked the defender for his service to the club.

"Nicky Devlin goes with our best wishes, obviously.

"He's given the club great service as a player and as captain and working in the community as well.

"So he goes with our best wishes and there might be another one or two away".

Devlin joined the club from Stenhousemuir in 2014, and was part of the squad that gained promotion to the Championship through the playoffs last season.
