Pensioner killed following one-vehicle smash near Dalrymple

A 74-year-old woman has died following a crash on the B742 near to the Burnton Viaduct.

We understand the woman was due to meet with friends yesterday lunchtime but was found in her car this morning down an embankment at around 7:30am - she was pronounced dead at the scene.

The woman is yet to be identified and officers say her death is being treated as unexplained at this time.

Police are appealing to anyone who was on the road between 9:30am and 1:30pm on Thursday June 20th to contact them on 101.
