Concern is growing for a Bellsbank woman who has gone missing and is believed to be with her two young children.

Leona Wallace was last seen getting in a black BMW around 8pm on Wednesday night.

Police say it is extremely out of character and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

She is described as being 5 feet 2 inches tall, with long brown hair and green eyes.

Sergeant Adam Johnstone of Cumnock Police Office said:

"Leona was reported missing to us on Friday 14 June and officers have been carrying out various local enquiries. She is believed to be with her seven year son and 3 year old daughter.

“It is extremely out of character for Leona not to be in touch with her friends and family who are growing increasing concerned for her wellbeing.

“I’d like to speak to anyone who has seen either Leona or the children to get in touch with us immediately at Cumnock Police Office via 101 quoting incident number 2224 of Friday 15 of June 2019.

“I’d also appeal directly to Leona to contact either her family or police to let us know she is safe and well."
