Four people are to stand trial accused of being involved in a counterfeit money operation. Stuart Trimble (36), Victor Robertson (40), Angela Cartney (44) and Anthony Howland (34) today/yesterday faced the allegations at the High Court in Glasgow. It is alleged - at two properties in the city - the four made fake Royal Bank of Scotland ÂŁ20 notes intending to pass them off as genuine. The indictment further claims - that at the same addresses and a house in Ayrshire - they had equipment and materials to make forged currency. This included laptops, printers, paper, ink, a UV light, a writing board and a laminator. The four are further accused of "without lawful authority or excuse" having a number of fake RBS ÂŁ20 notes. Trimble, of Bridgeton and Robertson, of Govan, both Glasgow, along with Cartney, of Prestwick, Ayrshire and Howland, of London, all pled not guilty to three charges under the Forgery and Counterfeiting Act. The offences are said to have occurred between July and September last year. Judge Lord Boyd set a trial due to begin on March 20 next year at the High Court in Edinburgh.
