Steven Gerrard says he's not aware of a reported bid from Everton for right-back Nathan Patterson.

According to the Daily Mirror, the Premier League side have submitted an offer of £5million for the Scotland international.

The Toffees' are said to be pushing hard to get their man - but Steven Gerrard says it's not something he knows about.

Asked by Sky Sports if bid had been received, he said: "Not to my knowledge.

"I'm sure the right person will tell me if that's the case and if there's truth in it.

"I hear a lot of noise and a lot of rumours. A lot of talk about a lot of our players.

"The only people I listen to in this situation is Ross Wilson and the board.

"If any bids land and they're respectable then we'll discuss them."

The Ibrox side ran out 4-2 winners against Ross County in Dingwall as they returned to Premiership action.

Joe Aribo, Connor Goldson, Alfredo Morelos and Scott Arfield were on the scoresheet as they picked up three points.

Manager Steven Gerrard says he was pleased with what he saw.

He said: "I think that was much more like us in-terms of how it looked both in and out of possession and I am a lot more happy today.

"You can see what we are trying to do out of possession quite clearly. We were really organised at times - okay, we are still trying to fine-tune that and we are still obviously waiting to get the full squad back in and settled, so we will get better in that department, but I thought we showed a lot of quality today.

"We created a lot and if James scores at the end there, it could have been one or two more.

"So going forward, we looked really dangerous. We have come away from home and got the three important points which is the main thing."
