Two men have been arrested after police found over a thousand pounds worth of drugs during a raid on an address in Irvine.

The £1200 haul comes after a warrant was executed at the home on Cochrane Street at around 6 pm on Friday, 19th April.

Following the recovery, the two males were charged and will later appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court.

Sgt Will Thomson of the Locality Policing Team in Irvine said: “This demonstrates our ongoing commitment to targeting those involved in the supply of controlled drugs on our streets.

“I would encourage the public to continue helping us so we can continue this work in our communities.

“Please be assured that any information provided will be treated in confidence.”
