Bride shaves her head on her wedding night for a heartbreaking reason
Bride Joan Lyons revealed the emotional reason behind it.
Photos are circulating the internet of a bride who bravely shaved her head on her wedding night for her husband, who has terminal pancreatic cancer.
Joan, from Huyton in Liverpool, and Craig Lyons have known each other for 27 years after meeting as teenagers. However, they lived separate lives until three years ago when Craig declared his love for Joan on a Mersey ferry and the couple decided to get married.
But their wedding wouldn't just be a celebration of love, it would also be a fundraising event as tribute to her ill husband who was diagnosed last year.
The wedding took place last Friday on the anniversary of the Hillsborough disaster, which was marked with 96 balloons being released in tribute to the 96 fans who died.
