Winter wifi woes? This could be the culprit!

Your decorations could be the problem

Published 21st Dec 2016

The festive season is now in full swing and Christmas lights can be found everywhere, but they could also be causing problems with your wifi.

A recent survey by saving experts, Make It Cheaper, has found that a massive 66% of the UK didn't know that their Christmas decorations could be affecting their connectivity.

Anything that generates an electromagnetic field can interfere with your signal and around this time of the year Christmas lights can do the same.

Although the impact is likely to be small if you're struggling to connect to your favourite website then try switching them off.

Christmas lights aren't the only thing that can affect your signal, everyday objects such as microwaves, cordless phones and even filing cabinets can reduce your wifi signal.
