Artists reveal how they spend New Year's Eve

We caught up with some of the talented artists that performed at Hits Live this year and got chatting to them backstage about how they spend New Year's Eve.

We spoke to Anne-Marie, Becky Hill, Joel Corry, and Years & Years and asked them whether they like to go out or stay in to celebrate New Year. Here's what they had to say:

Anne-Marie:

"I'm out. I used to get the pots and pans out, run around the whole block."

Joel Corry:

"Night out, I'm a DJ and it's the biggest night of the year. I love it man, it is honesty the most banging night of the year. I love doing the countdown, I love choosing what track I'm going to drop at midnight, I love the whole build up to it. New Year's Eve is the one man."

Becky Hill:

"I'm gonna go night out abroad somewhere hopefully. I don't enjoy nights out in the UK, because I used to go out in Bewdley and that was like queuing up for 'Spoons. And then you'd have go up to the bar and get three drinks for yourself cause you know you're not going to spend another 45 minutes at the bar."

Olly Alexander:

"Oh night out. I think New Year's Eve even though it's so stressful to go out, although house party is fun on New Year's Eve as well, I like to do something on New Year's Eve. After Christmas it feels like you're all stuck inside and then you can go out and meet people again so I'm a fan of New Year's Eve, yeah."
