Scottish singer Lewis Capaldi had BRIT Award's viewers in stitches with his hilarious winner's speech on Tuesday night (18th February).

Whether it was his name drop of Love Island's Paige Turley, his unorthodox thank you to his dead grandmother, or the fact he arrived on stage with a bottle of Buckfast, he really is a joker!

But after appearing a little drunk on stage after winning his two BRIT Awards, one viewer wasn't happy about the fact he was drinking on camera.

Sharing a photo of Lewis holding up his BRIT Award in one hand, and bottle of Buckfast in the other, the Twitter user wrote the line, 'We have an unhealthy relationship with alcohol in Scotland,' three times.

Clearly annoyed at the criticism, 'Someone You Loved' singer has now hit back, and his response was simply brilliant.

Lewis wrote, 'imagine having a drink on my first night off in months after winning two Brit awards, can you believe it?!' (sic)

Fans of the singer were quick to send their support after seeing his message. One user wrote, 'Your speech was the best part of the whole award show', with another adding, 'If this hugely talented young man can’t enjoy his achievement what hope is there for the rest of us!' (sic)

It was a brilliant night for Lewis! Not only did he give a stellar performance of his hit single 'Someone You Loved', he also picked up two awards for New Artist and British Single.
