Lewis Capaldi reveals 'Someone You Loved' is NOT about Paige Turley

Since Paige Turley entered the Love Island villa last month, we haven't heard the end about the fact she's Lewis Capaldi's ex, with the reality star even claiming his massive hit single 'Someone You Loved' is actually about her.
But despite Lewis admitting him and Paige are still good friends, and he would like her to win the ITV2 show, the singer has now confirmed 'Someone You Loved' isn't about any ex-girlfriend.
Speaking in a candid interview on an Australian music channel, Lewis revealed his Number 1 hit single is about his late grandmother.
He said, "The song is not about a lady who I was in a romantic relationship. It's about my grandmother, who's dead, f--k."
He then added, "She died a few years ago. Your classic death, not coming back that sort of thing."
It comes just weeks after Lewis broke his silence about Paige's appearance on the Winter series of Love Island.
Speaking on a show in New Zealand called The Edge, Lewis joked, "The prize is like £50,000 and I'll be like 'Well, listen. They asked you to go on it right I'm not saying I'm the reason but also… slide me two grand'."
He then added, "She never told me she was going on it. That would have been a nice heads up. But fair play and good luck to her."

In August 2019, Kaz proved her love for her man by flying out to Ibiza after Theo lost the sight in his right eye following an accident involving a champagne cork.
Admitting how 'proud' she was of his bravery following the accident, Kaz wrote, 'It's been a hard 24 hours no one here speaks English and he was taken for hours at one point and I had no clue he was in surgery again. I've stayed in his room over night and just want to take him home. He's so brave and positive hopefully it will get better thanks for your kind messages.'
However, in February 2021, Theo confirmed the pair have now split, admitting he got 'slinged'.

Things all ended in sadness though! Just a few months after enjoying a holiday in Barbados, Laura and Max split amidst cheating fears, with Laura blocking her former beau on Instagram.
Laura went on to date Dane Bowers and Gary Lucy, but she's now single and pregnant with Gary's baby.
Kendall Rae-Knight and Kem Cetinay
Love Island 2017 winner Kem Cetinay and 2018 Islander Kendall Rae-Knight were spotted on a 'date' in 2021, with the pair even sharing a kiss!
However, speaking to heat on Love Island: Under the Duvet, Kendall revealed the pair were just friends, saying, "Aaaah, yeah, we're just friends."

Antigoni Buxton is in the Love Island 2022 villa now, but before entering she dated 2018 Islander Jack Fowler for a number of months.
Meanwhile, although Paige and Finn Tapp are the only official couple on this year's series of Love Island, their relationship was put to the test this week during the headline challenge.
Despite their recent struggles, Finn is expected to chose Paige during tonight's recoupling, which is going to see a number of Islanders be dumped from the villa.
