Zara Larsson opens up about doing more movies 🎥
She makes her acting debut this year
The incredible Zara Larsson joined Sam Thompson on Hits UK to talk about her new single 'You Love Who You Love', her album 'Venus', and the new Netflix film she's set to appear in later this year.
Last year it was announced that she would appear as Julia, in a Swedish-language film called A Part of You, however at the time, not a lot of information was revealed.
Zara has now opened about making her acting debut in the film, admitting she doesn't like her speaking voice!
The singer, best-known for her hits such as 'Lush Life', 'I Would Like' and 'On My Love' with David Guetta, told Sam: "I hope I'm good (in the film), I haven't seen it, I haven't seen my scenes. I'm going to watch it, obviously.
"Like I'm very excited to see it and I know the script is beautiful, the movie is beautiful, but I'm mostly scared about how my voice will sound... my speaking voice."
She went on to explain: "I don't like how I speak, I don't... and in Swedish I have the worst accent."
However, she did admit to enjoying acting, saying: "It's so fun. And I would love to do more of it and I think it would be fun and I could see myself in movies." Could we see more of Zara on the small screen?
In A Part of Me, Zara plays Julia, Agnes' older sister. Agnes (played by Felicia Maxime) strives to be like her older sister, who has everything. Julia is 'the coolest person in school, the centre of every party, and she’s dating Noel' according to Netflix.
When is A Part of You released?
A Part of You will be released on Netflix in May. Zara told us: "I think Spring... May?" Officially the release date has not been confirmed by Netflix, who have only said it will be release globally in 2024.
