Rebecca Humphries, the girlfriend (or perhaps now former girlfriend) of Seann Walsh, has posted a statement on Twitter after the comedian was spotted kissing Strictly Come Dancing dance partner Katya Jones. The photos were actually taken on the 3rd of October, Rebecca's birthday, but only surfaced on Saturday night. Any mention of Rebecca was absent from the public apologies by Seann and Katya, something Rebecca wanted to address.

Rebecca posted an image of a statement that addressed how Seann had 'texted at 10pm saying the two of them were going for one innocent drink' on her birthday night out. She then outlined how, after voicing her suspicions about his relationship with Katya, Seann had 'aggressively, and repeatedly, called me a psycho/nuts/mental'.

Rebecca went on to say that 'it's important to recognise that in these situations those who hold power over you are insecure and fragile, and there need for control comes from a place of vulnerability. I think it certainly does in Sean's case.'

She continued, 'Despite everything, I hope he gets what he wants from this. I'm not sorry I took the cat though'.

Many had wondered if the latest scandal would lead to Seann and Katya being dismissed from Strictly Come Dancing, however a statement from show bosses was read out live on air by Loose Women presenter Ruth Langsford that said, "This has just come through. Strictly has confirmed that Seann and Katya will be dancing together this weekend as planned. Nobody is pulling out of the show."

When the photos of Seann and Katya kissing in public emerged on Sunday morning, Katya, who is married to Strictly choreographer Neil Jones, issued a statement on Twitter, apologising for her actions.

She wrote, 'I’m so sorry about any offence or hurt I may have caused with my actions. I wasn’t thinking and it was a one-off mistake after some drinks. I love my husband and we are very happy together, this is not a reflection on our relationship.'

Seann also issued his own apology.

Meanwhile, Seann's girlfriend Rebecca, who was at the studio to watch his performance at the weekend, has now unfollowed her beau on social media.

As well as her recent social media activity, Rebecca has also liked and responded to a number of messages from the public.

Strictly Come Dancing continues on Saturday and Sunday.
