Now that the FIFA World Cup has kicked off over in Qatar, there's going to be some major changes to TV schedules over the next month, with both BBC and ITV sharing all of the games from the 2022 tournament.

With games scheduled at 10am, 1pm, 4pm and 7pm every day during the Group Stages, both the BBC and ITV have rescheduled popular shows such as EastEnders, Coronation Street and Emmerdale.

But the big talking point today (Tuesday 22nd November) is that This Morning has been taken off air until Friday 25th November, to accommodate for the 10am games.

Hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield made the announcement at the end of Monday morning's show, with Phillip telling viewers: "Right, the World Cup is on ITV for the next few mornings so Alison and Dermot will be with you on Friday, we will see you next week."

Holly then added: "All that's left to say is good luck England, good luck Wales and we'll see you next week."

Fans clearly weren't happy at the news, one wrote: 'Really? Why, why, why? Hate football! My routine is up the spout now!'. (sic)

Another wrote: 'What did we do to deserve this 😱😱😱😱😱', with a third asking: 'Can't you be on ITV2 or something?'. (sic)

This Morning isn't the only show to be taken off air to accommodate for the World Cup, Loose Women is also off until Thursday 24th November, whilst there's plenty of moving around on the evenings for soaps like Emmerdale and Coronation Street.

I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here was moved to a slightly later time of 9.15pm on Monday 22nd, with the same schedule coming up on Friday 25th, to accommodate for the England Vs USA game.

BBC soap EastEnders is moving to BBC Two this week, with episodes airing at 7.30pm.

As the competition moves to the different stages, more schedule changes are expected to be announced.

This Morning will return to screens on Friday 25th November with Friday hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary.
