Liam Gallagher’s second solo album ‘Why Me? Why Not.’ has been crowned as the biggest selling vinyl album of 2019.

According to Official Charts Company figures, Liam Gallagher’s chart-topping record shifted more than 30,000 units on vinyl since it was released on 20th September 2019.

It also sold more than 17,000 copies on its first week alone, making it the fast-selling vinyl album of the year and, impressively, the fastest-selling vinyl album of this entire millennium by a solo act.

‘Why Me? Why Not.’ topped the 2019 vinyl chart ahead of teenage pop sensation Billie Eilish’s all-conquering ‘When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?’, which sold 29,000 copies on the resurgent format.

Classic albums dominate the Top 10 with Fleetwood Mac’s ‘Rumours’ at number three with 28,800 sales and Queen’s ‘Greatest Hits’ (no.4), The Beatles ‘Abbey Road’ (no.5), Pink Floyd’s ‘The Dark Side of the Moon’ (no. 7), Oasis’ ‘Definitely Maybe’ (no.8), Joy Division’s ‘Unknown Pleasures’ (no.9) and David Bowie’s best-of ‘Legacy’ (no.10) also featuring.
