Liam Gallagher says he’s contemplating releasing a previously unheard song called ‘The World’s In Need’ in response to these turbulent global times.

The former Oasis frontman told his 3 million Twitter followers on Sunday (5th January) that he penned ‘The World’s In Need’ last year during the writing sessions for his second studio album ‘Why Me? Why Not.’.

Despite it being “out of tune” Liam says he’s considering releasing ‘The World’s In Need’ and he also shared an apparent excerpt of the lyrics.

Liam said: “I wrote a song last year called The worlds in need -/:;(£)( might have to release it doesn’t matter if it’s out of tune as it’s true c’mon you know LG x”

Revealing the song’s pertinent lyrics, he continued: “It’s calling me it’s calling you listen up let’s get to you know I need a sign for peace of mind the worlds in need send gods speed.”

Boasting the Absolute Radio playlisted singles ‘Shockwave’, ‘One of Us’ and ‘Now That I’ve Found You’, Liam Gallagher’s ‘Why Me? Why Not.’ debuted at Number One in the UK last September outselling the rest of the Top 10 combined.

Liam followed it with a completely sold out UK arena tour that took in 12 shows in November. He also plays a sold out homecoming gig at Manchester’s Heaton Park this coming June.

Last autumn, Noel Gallagher said that Liam’s constant barbs aimed at him on Twitter are curtailing the chances of an Oasis reunion.

"It's strange behaviour for someone who is gagging for me to pick up the phone and say let's do (an Oasis reunion),” Noel explained to The Big Issue.

"He'd put his whole life on hold to get Oasis back together but every tweet he sends out, it's another nail in the coffin of that idea."

Speaking to Liam directly, Noel added: "If you think for one minute, I am going to share a stage with you after what you've said you are f---ing more of a moron than you look."

True to form, Liam responded on Twitter, writing: “So news reaches me from a far that team NG are trying to get me shut down on twitter coz they don’t like my tweets did dums good luck you little fart c’mon you know LG x”
