Although Liam Gallagher has never headlined Etihad Stadium before, he did play two concerts at Manchester City’s old ground Maine Road with Oasis in April 1996.

Four months after Maine Road, Oasis played two shows in front of 250,000 people at Knebworth. The gigs were recently the subject of a 25th anniversary documentary film called Oasis Knebworth 1996.
