Noel Gallagher says his younger brother Liam’s tweets are making the chances of an Oasis reunion increasingly unlikely.

The feuding siblings have been locked in a war of words with each other since Oasis split in acrimonious circumstances hours before they were due to take to the stage at V Festival in Chelmsford in August 2009.

With both Liam and Noel aiming barbs at each other, the very public and unrelenting beef has been played out in the media over the past decade.

In a fresh interview with The Big Issue, Noel was asked once again about the chances of an Oasis reunion and he claimed Liam would “put his whole life on hold to get Oasis back together”.

However, despite this, Noel says Liam’s tweets about him are a "nail in the coffin" for a potential comeback.

"It's strange behaviour for someone who is gagging for me to pick up the phone and say let's do it,” Noel explained. "He'd put his whole life on hold to get Oasis back together but every tweet he sends out, it's another nail in the coffin of that idea."

Speaking to Liam directly, Noel added: "If you think for one minute, I am going to share a stage with you after what you've said you are f---ing more of a moron than you look."

In typical Liam style, he’s already responded to Noel’s comments, tweeting this morning (18th November): “So news reaches me from a far that team NG are trying to get me shut down on twitter coz they don’t like my tweets did dums good luck you little fart c’mon you know LG x”

He added: “Trying to divide and conquer NEVER gonna happen mate you’ve blown it the people have got your number.”

Last Friday, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds released a Christmassy new song called ‘Wandering Star’ from their forthcoming ‘Blue Moon Rising’ EP, which is released on 6th March 2020.

Noel and co.’s first confirmed UK show of 2020 will take place at London’s Kenwood House on Sunday 21st June. Tickets are on sale from Absolute Radio Tickets right now.

Liam Gallagher meanwhile is in the midst of a completely sold out UK arena tour and plays Sheffield FlyDSA Arena tonight (Monday 18th November).

The ever charitable Liam is running a 'Part With Your Parka' initiative throughout the tour calling on fans to donate their coats or parkas at donation points.
