The Rolling Stones have premiered the video for a previously unreleased song called ‘Criss Cross’.

The song dates back almost four decades and it was recorded during the sessions for their seminal 1973 album ‘Goats Head Soup’, which is being reissued on multiple formats on Friday 4th September 2020.

‘Criss Cross’ is available as an instant grat download for fans who pre-order ‘Goats Head Soup’ right here. Produced by Diana Kunst, watch the ‘Criss Cross’ video below:

Alongside ‘Criss Cross’, there are two further unheard songs that feature on the deluxe edition of ‘Goats Head Soup’ - ‘All The Rage’ and ‘Scarlet’ featuring Led Zeppelin legend Jimmy Page and Rick Grech of Blind Faith fame.

‘Goats Head Soup’ is available on a variety of formats including four-disc CD and vinyl box set editions with a veritable smorgasbord of unreleased studio and live material.

Alongside the trio of unreleased songs, the 10-track bonus disc of unreleased material also includes different versions of tracks like ‘100 Years Ago’ and ‘Hide Your Love’, with further unissued mixes by esteemed producer Glyn Johns.

The box set editions of ‘Goats Head Soup’ will also boast a 15-track live album called 'Brussels Affair', which was recorded in autumn 1973 in the Belgian capital. Mixed by Bob Clearmountain, the album was previously only available in The Rolling Stones' “official bootleg” series of live recordings in 2012.

Other delights in the CD and vinyl box sets include the ten-track album in 5.1 Surround Sound, Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res mixes, along with the videos for ‘Dancing With Mr. D’, ‘Silver Train’ and ‘Angie’.

There’s also an exclusive 120-page book will feature a remarkable array of photographs, essays by writers Ian McCann, Nick Kent and Daryl Easlea and faithful reproductions of four tour posters from 1973.

Ian McGann writes: “Goats Head Soup was released with plenty of fanfare. Despite what you may read today, the kids weren’t entirely absorbed by glam rock, metal, prog and Philly soul back in 1973, and they bought the album in their thousands, sending it to No. 1 in the USA and in the UK, their fifth consecutive British chart-topper.”

Back in April, The Rolling Stones premiered their first new song in eight years, ‘Living in A Ghost Town’, which they created and recorded in Los Angeles and London and during lockdown.
