Celtic face an anxious wait on the fitness of Reo Hatate.

The midfielder was forced off injured during Japan's Asian Cup clash against Bahrain on Wednesday after going down appearing to hold his calf.

The 26-year old spent most of the first half of the season out injured.

He only made his return to Brendan Rodgers' side during their 3-0 win away to St Mirren earlier this month.

However, the Parkhead side may now be without Hatate for another spell after he was replaced by Hidemasa Morita.

It comes after reports Celtic have blocked a potential loan move for Gustaf Lagerbielke.

The Swede looked set for a switch to Lecce, however, it has been suggested that was halted after an injury to Cameron Carter-Vickers emerged.

Brendan Rodgers is still looking to strengthen his squad before Thursday's transfer deadline.

Norwich City forward Adam Idah is expected to join on a loan deal until the end of the season.

He would become their second addition of the month after German winger Nicolas Kuhn arrived from Rapid Vienna.
