Coldplay explain why Chris keeps on saying "This is our last album"

Worldwide superstars Coldplay joined our Entertainment Team for a chat about their future before an exclusive gig in London.The gig at the London Palladium was exclusive to winners of an on air competition from Cool FM and our sister stations.
Pianist Will Champion and guitar player Guy Berryman revealed that we should never listen to lead singer Chris Martin when he states, “This is our last album”.
Will admitted that when the band finish every album, Chris doesn’t have any more ideas so they believe they have no material, however a few weeks later when ideas pop into their heads, work on a new album is started!
The band also talked about the possibility of a documentary following the success of Oasis’ Supersonic.
Speaking to our Entertainment Team, Guy and Will admitted the Oasis film was created by their friend Matt and they think it’s a brilliant film that has reunited their love for the band.
However, Will also revealed he doesn’t think the band are at the right ‘time’ in their careers to film a documentary about Coldplay as it would feel like ‘the end’ and they are not at the point of looking ‘backwards’ yet.
